As you may recall from a couple of weeks back, I spent about 45 minutes waiting in my car, blissfully twiddling my thumbs, while my phone charged so I could take photos over at the Williams Sonoma Home Outlet. On occasion, I broke my focus from the blue nothingness of the sky.
One such break in focus was due to a woman about 100 feet away from me getting out of her car. I watched her walking toward the Restoration Hardware Outlet, head held high. Her walk, confident and sure. She was going to score a major deal today. She knew it and I knew it. And then she walked back out. Three minutes later. Empty handed. I literally laughed out loud and exclaimed to absolutely nobody, “SAME, GIRL, SAME!” Every time I enter that store I really want it to be my time to shine, but alas, 50% off 5 million dollars is still 2.5 million dollars. (UPDATE: I HAVE SINCE CHANGED MY STANCE ON THIS SINCE DISCOVERING THEIR CLEARANCE TAGS! CHECK OUT DETAILS HERE)
IN ALL FAIRNESS, I have seen some really amazing deals in here- like a $200 leather chair and they consistently have really awesome bathroom vanities for a steal. Honestly, my best recommendation for you when you head to any outlet- check out the stores’ retail prices online. If 40, 50, even 70% off retail is still too much, you’ll likely be disappointed. But that’s okay! These outlets don’t have to be everything for everyone. They’re just trying to be who they are. Sometimes that means I can’t be friends with them, but I’ll still absolutely cheer them on and be super stoked when I see from a distance they’re surrounded by friends. You do you, RH Outlet.
All kidding aside, this is a gorgeous store. It is massive, a whooping 75,000 square feet! I was pleasantly surprised by how high the discounts went this time around. Several items were 70-90% off! That’s a steal in Outletland. I was feeling pretty antisocial today, so defaulted back to incognito mode and deliberately avoided eye contact. Oh the joys of being an extroverted introvert. One day you can’t shut me up and the next I’ve barricaded myself in my bedroom to watch The Bachelorette and recharge in peace.
After I finished up here, I decided to hop over to the Le Creuset Outlet to wrap up my Vacaville, CA outlet feature. I hope that my spotlights on Serena and Lily, Williams Sonoma Home, West Elm and now the Restoration Hardware and Le Creuset Outlets have been helpful. I feel that all of the outlets in regards to inventory levels and quality are accurate to what you can find at any given time, though products will vary. Have I convinced you yet to come visit me? Happy Hunting!
