Disclaimer: These photos were taken on Monday, November 15, 2021. Outlet inventory moves quickly, so it is best to call ahead to confirm if the item is still available. Due to all of my photos uploading out of order, I was unable to post the price tags. If you see an item you want more info on, just message me on Facebook or Instagram or email! Additionally, I am in no way affiliated with or sponsored by any of the outlets featured and these are solely my own opinions based on my own experiences.

My Bay Area adventure continues over to the Restoration Hardware Outlet in Pleasanton, CA. I posted about the Crate and Barrel Outlet in Livermore here. These outlets are less than 10 minutes from each other, so hitting both is a requirement.

As an aside, I realize that many of you live outside of CA. I really do want to make this a useful resource even for those distantly located, so I am going to begin incorporating things like: a list of all relevant outlets across the US, general pricing information on the outlets (it’s pretty much the same everywhere), and I’ll spotlight some damaged items and propose how I would fix it up. Would that be helpful for you? Please reach out if you have ANY other ideas to make it useful!

Restoration Hardware Outlet Pricing Structure

Similar to the Crate and Barrel Outlet pricing structure, Restoration Hardware does offer some of their pieces at clearance pricing. This is truly where the magic happens at RH Outlet. The items start at a set percentage off, typically 50% from my experience, and increase in percent off each week or two (location dependent), capping out at 95% off!!! I was able to score a $3970 table for $397. Watch my frugal corpse hit the floor.

My table!

These clearance tags do seem to be a bit location based, so call ahead to make sure your outlet participates. Keep your eyes peeled for the black strip at the top of the clearance price tags, which look like this:

Most of the items you will find inside of the Restoration Hardware Outlet are typically around 30-40% off. I have heard many people compare outlet pricing to member pricing, though I haven’t researched that similarity myself yet. The tags for these items, which won’t decrease in price, look like this:

Furniture Delivery

While the Restoration Hardware Outlet in Pleasanton, CA does not have an in-house delivery company, they do have some third party recommendations. Pictured below are the various companies that have been utilized by clients in their store. I have heard glowing reviews about ProMovers from various group members and followers.

Outlet Inventory Observations

Inventory at the outlets are CONSTANTLY changing (so much so, an employee here asked I make a disclaimer about it!), so what stood out to me this time may not stand out to me during my next visit. If you see anything you like in the many photos below, make sure to call ahead to confirm availability.

Light Fixtures: One thing that stood out most to me about this RH Outlet was the expansive light fixture inventory. Seriously, if you need any light fixtures this is a great place to stop. I think I uploaded around 50 photos of the various boxes there right now, so check it out in the Outlet Photo Dump section toward the bottom.

Area Rugs: It is always my preference when outlets hang their rugs up on an easy to view display rack. This outlet had a plethora of rugs to choose from, though keep in mind, most still clock in at around a grand or more.

Outdoor Furniture: It could be due to the fact that we are headed into winter, but nearly all of the outdoor furniture could be found with clearance tags starting at 50%-60% off. They had a good number of tables, chaise lounges, coffee tables and more. Personally, I would wait a couple of weeks and see if those prices can get any lower, as most aren’t outdoor shopping right now. This is a great opportunity to stock up for next year.

Prefabbed Slabs: This location seemed to have a lot of table slabs available for purchase during this visit. This can be an excellent way to piece together a high quality table for an insanely discounted price. I have often seen these slabs go for upwards of 90% off, so dust off your DIY toolbelt and build your own table!

Final Thoughts: The more I visit the RH Outlet, the more I love it. Yes, it is pricey, but if you are patient and lock in on those clearance tags, there really are so many gems here. I recommend taking a photo of the clearance tag (taking note of the exact markdown date schedule) and then following up with them over the subsequent weeks. I’ll put together a post on my exact strategy with this soon.

And in case you ignored all of my words above this exact spot, message me for pricing tickets. I had over 400 photos and they uploaded completely out of order and my anxiety short circuited my brain and refused to sort it out. Happy Browsing!
